My mother gave me a box of old lace awhile ago. I saved it just in case I ever got inspired to do something with it. There were lace trims and collars from dresses worn in the early 20th century among the lace scraps. Some were very yellow. I soaked them numerous times with Oxiclean and a special solution that my mother had purchased in an antiques’ store. One day, I spied a collection of lace collars that had been framed under an old window in a thrift shop. That was just the inspiration I needed! I decided to frame three of the best collars under glass. Here is the finished product that I hung up in my daughter’s old room that is now our blue and white guest room.
